Le texte d'origine en anglais
On one side of the bason stand divers WOLVES, and on the other an equal number of FOXES, each in a different attitude, ejecting their respective streams. – In the front is represented a MONKEY, very gravely seated in his elbow chair, and lolling magisterially thereon. On his right and left, are planted two other MONKEYS, his assistants on the bench. One acts as clerk, or register ; the other with his tipstaff in his hand, is only messenger, or door-keeper of the Court ; both, however, eject a stream in different directions
into the Vase or Bason.
